I have been living abroad for a long time. This life means both happiness and unhappiness for me. A foreign country looks like another planet. Everything is not familiar to you - the things are neither better nor worse but different. Some people enrich their personality by getting familiar with another culture that is quite different from their own one.
However all people lose a lot living in the other country. They are gradually losing their motherland, so close to them from their childhood. A moment comes when you begin to understand that you are Russian, that you are one of those numerous Russian women who are still living in Russia. Surely, this moment does not come at once. First you are busy with your own business, with your new friends, shopping and other spheres of your everyday life.
From that moment a new period of your life starts, the period when you begin struggling for your personality because you finally realize that you are not simply one of the Russian women but you are the part of a big system that is called Russia.
