Gallup poll has shown the attitude towards Russians on the part of the Italians working in Russia, can be characterized as negative. The last feel themselves as the missionaries who have arrived to the barbarous country for improvement of its economic situation. However, characteristics of Russian women have in most cases extremely positive sounding. They say as a rule, "the Russian personnel is not good but Russian women are good fellows!" What forms such attitude?
First of all, foreigners emphasize a high level of education and vocational training that Russian women have. 90 per cent of the Russian employees of the Italian campaigns have higher education that amazes their foreign bosses. Oksana Fies gives one interesting example. Last year at the exhibition of production of the Italian firms, which is annually taking place in the All-Russia Exhibition Center, the chapter of one of 12 exposed firms was very proud that he, on the contrary to his colleagues, had higher education. He was very surprised when he found out that the woman who was cleaning a showroom has not only higher education, but also a scientific degree.
